The Fatal Mistake That Doomed Samsung’s Galaxy Note – WSJ

Samsung’s decision to push a sweeping recall of the Galaxy Note 7, based on what turned out to be incomplete evidence, left the South Korean company with little choice but to kill the model later.

While this is not good news for Samsung, it is not good news for the lithium ion battery industry, either. That doesn’t mean that lithium ion batteries should be scrapped altogether, but it does ensure the need for extensive quality management.
