I am a graduate in renewable energy engineering and am considering an electrical engineer internship with Tesla. What options should I pursue?

I am interested in working with Tesla because they are a vertically integrated provider of electric vehicles, batteries, inverters (with the Powerwall), and solar (with the solar roof and with their merger with Solar City).

The job ad is here.

Here are some options to consider:

  • As discussed on this page here, Vector Academy has introductory courses in automotive CANLIN and ethernet.
  • I already have technical support experience working at Sungrow, which should be appreciated, although it is not hands-on.
  • this, and
  • this.
