Investing in cryptocurrencies

If one bought BTC when it was a dollar just five years ago, they would’ve made a more than 1000 fold return on their investment if they held it until now. If someone bought BTC at the start of 2016, their investment would’ve doubled. While it’s still got good underlying fundamental value (which I think is more important for an investment with strong probability for growth), I think buying ETH is an even better investment.
Nevertheless, one could buy both. In Australia, one could use a Coinjar wallet to buy Bitcoin and use it for daily transactions using an EFTPOS card that can directly pay with Bitcoin, as well as being able to withdraw from ATMs and EFTPOS, while using Eth for savings and investments. Sure, there’s more volatility, but I’d say the risk is substantially outweighed by the potential reward.
